On the surface of the trinket box, scenes from the fairy tale are recreated in rich warm tones: a magical flower in the hands of a girl, surrounded by lush, blooming vegetation.
Materials and painting: The box is completely handcrafted from papier-mâché. Linseed oil, lacquer, tempera, and gold leaf are used in the decoration. Upon the finished painting, artists add the finest strokes and create minute details. The final touch of each painting and the box is the golden patterns that frame each miniature. The gold paint is made from crushed gold leaf.
